De todas as músicas assinadas Lennon/Mccartney, é óbvio que nem todas foram necessariamente compostas pelos dois. A finada revista Bizz publicou, anos atrás, uma entrevista concedida pelo Lennon em 1971. Ele detalhou e revelou quem compôs o quê nas músicas dos Beatles.
Detalhe: no LP Please Please Me, as músicas foram assinadas McCartney/Lennon. Já nos discos seguintes, por sugestão de Lennon, eles mudaram para Lennon/McCartney. Paul no seu último disco resolveu mudar novamente para McCartney/Lennon. Parece que Yoko não ficou muito satisfeita com a mudança.
